La Puerta del Cielo - Seven Lives

Mit der Veröffentlichung der 2-Track-Single "La Puerta del Cielo - Seven Lives" (EMI Music Germany/Virgin) am 15. August wird die Wartezeit auf das neue ENIGMA-Album verkürzt. Diese beiden Songs, ausgewählt unter 12 Kompositionen von ENIGMA-Mastermind Michael Cretu, bilden sein breites Sound-Spektrum Hit-kompatibel ab:
"Seven Lives" ist eine energiegeladene, spannungsreiche Melange aus Klassik und Moderne. Streichersätze von symphonischer Stärke und erdige HipHop-Beats werden vereint zu einem Klangemälde, das man so noch auf keiner Musikleinwand sehen konnte. "Seven Lives" ist der offizielle ARD Olympiasong und wird ab 26. Juli in allen Programm Hinweis Trailern zu hören sein. Ab dem 8. August wird die ARD diesen Song auch für die "Bilder des Tages" aus Peking einsetzen.
Ganz anders "La Puerta del Cielo": Der weitere neue Song berührt schon nach dem ersten Takt durch die hypnotische Stimme einer über 60-jährigen Ibizenkerin. Eine Jahrhundert alte Gesangskultur verbindet sich hier hymnisch mit der ergreifenden Melodie, die den Hörer fängt und nicht mehr loslässt.
Michael Cretu, mit 40 Millionen weltweit verkauften Tonträgern und allein 50 Nummer-1-Platzierungen, Schöpfer des international erfolgreichsten Musik-Projekts der letzten 20 Jahre, weckt mit den beiden Klangproben die Erwartung auf einen der Höhepunkte des Musik-Herbstes 2008. Das neue Studioalbum "Seven Lives Many Faces" wird am 19. September weltweit veröffentlicht. Zusätzlich zur Standard Version wird es eine limitierte Special Edition mit einer Bonus CD geben.

The 2-track single "Seven Lives - La Puerta del Cielo" is set to ease the wait for the soon-to-be-released ENIGMA album, "Seven Lives Many Faces" (out on 19 September). The two songs, selected by ENIGMA mastermind Michael Cretu from 12 compositions, reflect his broad musical range in a hit-compatible fashion:

"Seven Lives" is a dynamic, exciting joint venture of classical and modern elements. String sections of symphonic dimensions and earthy hip-hop beats blend together in a sonic tableau which has not been featured on any other musical canvas. Starting on 8 August, the German TV channel ARD will use "Seven Lives" as a sonic framework for its broadcasts from the Olympic Games in Peking.

By contrast, the second single track, "La Puerta del Cielo", touches the listener after the first bar with the hypnotic voice of an over 60 year old Ibicencan, dissolving a vocal tradition of many centuries of anthem tunes, with a haunting melody which captures the listener and refuses to let go.

Michael Cretu, with 40 million records sold and 50 no. 1 chart positions creator of, internationally most successful music project of the last 20 years, has these two appetisers from his latest offering, to build up the suspense for one of this autumn's highlights amongst the album releases. Cretu's compositional credo is straightforward: "I don't care whether you can sing along to a song. But I want it to stay in the audience's memory and make them feel that they want to listen to it again. And again ..."
